Seasons Restaurant, Knight's Garden Centre
On the last Wednesday of February, May, August and November, about 15–20 Members meet
at Knight's Garden Centre in Limpsfield Road, Chelsham, for a coffee morning
(and shopping opportunity).
Knight's garden centres began as a smallholding market garden in 1945, when Jack Knight, a local man
and enthusiatic gardener, took a lease on Nags Hall near Godstone, and started a family business
supplying local retailers with fruit, vegetables and flowers.
In 1965 Nags Hall became one of the first comprehensive garden centres in the country;
over time more Knight's garden centres opened locally, including the site at
Chelsham Place, near Warlingham, in 1993.
The Seasons Restaurant serves breakfasts, lunches and a wide selection of cakes and sandwiches.
In addition to its traditional trade in plants and garden equipment, today Knight's carries an
interesting range of attractive gifts, country clothing, pet products and wildlife food and feeders,
plus the latest addition – an enticing food hall.
